About This Event / イベントについて
Q LIMINAL, read as “Criminal,” is a 10-day walk-through at Sunshine City Exhibition Hall A from 11 to 20 September 2026. Geek Pictures, TwoGate, and puzzle studio Sheep Rhythm built it around the internet legend of the Backrooms, the same source as Kane Parsons’ A24 film that opened in Japan on 4 September.
The hall is dim. Fluorescent buzz, blank walls, and QR codes. You download an app on your own phone, scan codes, and a “search rate” rises only when you pick the right ones. Clues are symbols, not text. The ticket shop is blunt: this is a QR puzzle in a large empty hall, not a recreation of the film’s yellow rooms. Each slot holds 50 people. The walk takes about 30 minutes. Tickets are ¥1,500 via PASS STORE. Children in elementary school and older need a ticket. Younger children may enter free with a guardian aged 20 or over, and that adult also needs a ticket.
Charge the phone. There is no cloakroom and no toilet inside. Once you leave, you cannot come back in. Flash, tripods, selfie sticks, and live streaming are banned. An AI photo booth, Yume Photo, sits at the entrance if you want a still of your face dropped into a Backrooms frame. Higashi-Ikebukuro Station is closer than the JR East Exit, which is about an eight-minute walk.

Bring a charged smartphone. There is no rental handset, and you will keep the camera open.

Queue 15 minutes before your printed entry time. Late arrivals can be turned away if the hall is full.
入場時刻の15分前から列。混雑時は遅刻入場をお断りする場合あり。
This is not a film-set walkthrough. The ticket page says decoration is kept to a minimum so the empty hall does the work.
映画セットの再現ではない。チケットページは装飾を最小限と明記。
No toilet inside. Use the Sunshine City facilities before you scan in.
会場内にトイレなし。入場前にサンシャインシティのトイレを使う。
