Ikebukuro is never static. Between the anime megastores of Sunshine City, the Pikachu of Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo, and the old wooden streets of Zoshigaya, the district hosts a year-round calendar of festivals, pop-ups, and seasonal displays. From spring cherry blossoms at Minami-Ikebukuro Park to winter illuminations atop Sunshine 60, there's always something happening.

Plan Your Visit
Most Ikebukuro festivals are free and within walking distance of Ikebukuro Station, with the paid exhibitions (Ultra Heroes Expo, Sky Circus, Namja Town) located inside Sunshine City — directly connected to the station underground. Summer events are crowded and humid, so arrive early, carry water, and wear comfortable shoes. For shopping campaigns, check individual store websites for exact dates and participation rules.
池袋の祭りの多くは無料で、池袋駅から徒歩圏内。有料展示（ウルトラヒーローズEXPO、スカイサーカス、ナンジャタウン）はサンシャインシティ内にあり、駅と地下直結です。夏のイベントは混雑し暑いため、早めに到着し、水分補給をこまめに、歩きやすい靴でお出かけください。ショッピングキャンペーンは、各店舗の公式サイトで開催期間や参加条件を確認してください。
