About This Event / イベントについて
The Tori no Ichi at Zoshigaya Otori Shrine is a traditional autumn rake market held on the "tori" (rooster) days of November. Stalls sell decorative kumade (bear-paw rakes) adorned with auspicious items, symbolizing "raking in" good fortune and prosperity for the coming year.
The 2026 edition has two tori days: November 7 (first tori) and November 19 (second tori). Kumade start from ¥1,000 and go up to extravagant gold-adorned versions. A lottery for pure gold and silver koban coins adds excitement. Open 8:00–22:00, free to attend.

Kumade rakes start from ¥1,000; extravagant gold-adorned versions go up to ¥100,000+.
熊手は¥1,000～。金装飾版は¥100,000超も。
The gold/silver koban lottery is free to enter with a kumade purchase.
純金・純銀小判抽選会は熊手購入で無料参加。
First tori (Nov 7) is busier than second tori (Nov 19) — go early either day.
一の酉（11/7）の方が混雑。どちらも早めに。
