About This Event / イベントについて
The Bon Odori at Kishomojindo is a community bon dance festival organized by the local neighborhood association. A yagura (wooden tower) is erected in the temple grounds, and residents of all ages gather to dance around it in a circle.
The event is free and welcoming to visitors. The temple grounds, usually a quiet spot for prayer, transform into a lively evening festival with food stalls and music. A wonderful way to experience traditional Japanese summer culture in a historic temple setting.
鬼子母神堂の盆踊りは、地元町会が主催する盆踊り大会。境内にやぐらが建てられ、老若男女がやぐらを囲んで輪になって踊ります。
入場無料で訪問者も歓迎。普段は静かな参拝の場である境内が、屋台と音楽で賑やかな夜の祭りに変身。歴史ある寺院で日本の夏の伝統文化を体験できます。
