About This Event / イベントについて
The Tokyo Hula Festa is Japan's largest hula dance event, and its 24th edition brought 166 teams and approximately 2,800 dancers to Ikebukuro. Performances spanned four venues — Ikebukuro West Gate Park, Sunshine City Fountain Plaza, Naka-Ikebukuro Park, and the Tobu Department Store rooftop.
The 2026 edition was moved from July to June to avoid the summer heat. Alongside the hula performances, the festival features Hawaiian band performances, food stalls, and a Hawaiian goods market. All venues are free to watch — a colorful, energetic celebration of Hawaiian culture in the heart of Ikebukuro.
