Muscle Girls is a one-of-a-kind concept bar in the basement of the Hayama Building, a five-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station, where the servers are women devoted to bodybuilding and strength training. The gimmick is interactive theatre: servers flex, crush grapefruit bare-handed to squeeze fresh sours, challenge guests to chest-press competitions and perform push-ups over the counter, all in the spirit of fun rather than intimidation. Drinks carry the brand's own "Muscle" label, from highballs and lemon, lime and green-apple sours to umeshu, cassis and red or white wine, with a fresh-squeezed Muscle Sour made tableside for groups. The venue sells original T-shirts in four colours and a tote bag, runs a YouTube channel and operates on a reservation-priority basis with set entry times of 5pm, 6:30pm, 8pm and 9:30pm. Reviews on Apple Maps and travel guides rate it highly for its friendly, over-the-top atmosphere, and it has drawn international attention as one of Tokyo's more offbeat nights out. Walk-ins are possible when space allows, but a booked slot is the safer bet on busy evenings. If you want a night that is nothing like an ordinary izakaya, Muscle Girls delivers strong drinks and even stronger personalities. Bring your friends, leave your inhibitions at the door and enjoy a fitness-fuelled party that is all about good humour and good cheer.

Suntory Malt's Beer Mug
A close-up photo of a glass mug filled with amber-colored beer, featuring the Suntory The Malt's branding and Japanese text 'グッとくる' (gutto-kuru) and 'UMAMI'. Below is an illustration of a person sitting in a meditative pose with a hand gesture above them. Condensation droplets are visible on the glass exterior.
