Ultra acosta 2026 fills Sunshine City in East Ikebukuro from Friday 4 September through Sunday 6 September. It is the fifth Ultra edition of acosta, the nationwide cosplay photo event run by Hacosta. Last July's three-day Ultra drew 20,000 people. Regular acosta already claims more than 300,000 visits a year.
Friday is not a daytime add-on. All-night Ultra acosta runs 22:00 Friday to 05:00 Saturday (written as 29:00 on the ticket grid). Shooting stops at 28:00. You must be 18 or older. High school students are barred, ID checked at the door. Saturday and Sunday run 10:00 to 18:30, with shooting until 17:30. Halls A (2 and 3), B, C, and D plus the fountain plaza stage carry the event. Sunshine City co-hosts. Toshima Ward and Animate cooperate.
Friday night, then the Saturday Marche
The all-night pass is the piece visitors from outside Ikebukuro usually skip, then regret. Advance cosplay is 3,480 yen, door 4,000. Camera or general is 2,980 advance, 3,500 door. An aquarium-attached early plan opens at 19:00 for 6,480 yen and is advance only. Hotel packages sit at Sunshine City Prince. Check the hotel page for the room rate. The mall after 22:00 is empty in a way daytime Sunshine never is. That is the point.
Saturday adds acosta Marche, a cosplay doujin and flea market, 12:00 to 17:00. Marche-only tickets are 2,380 yen advance, 2,900 door. Any Ultra ticket also gets you into Marche, but only from 13:00. If you want the noon opening, buy the Marche ticket. Reception desks are different. Do not queue at the hall door for Marche.
Daytime ticket math
Saturday and Sunday share one price list. Ultra 2Day is 9,980 yen advance, reception from 8:30, no door sales. Early cosplay or camera is 3,380 advance, 3,900 door, doors 9:10. Regular is 2,580 advance, 3,100 door, from 11:00. Junior and senior high camera or general is 1,480 / 1,800. Elementary is 500 yen either way, guardian required, guardian also needs a ticket. Toshima children enter free with ID. Early ticket holders lose their lane once regular reception starts at 11:00. Door tickets stop at 16:30. Sold-out types are not restocked at the door.
Junior high and high school camera tickets cannot use changing rooms. If you want to change on site, buy early or regular. Kids workshops, parent-and-child cosplay, IKEBUS, a selfie booth, immersive photo, and a Sunday clean walk sit on the contents grid. Fountain plaza stage runs all three days. Costume cases through Ikebukuro
Sunshine City is 3-1-1 Higashi-Ikebukuro. Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Higashi-Ikebukuro is the closer hole. JR Ikebukuro is a longer underground walk with a rolling case. The Prince Hotel packages exist because changing in a station toilet is a bad plan. Rules live on acosta.jp. No refunds, no date changes. Transfer, if you need it, goes through the official ticket site, not a group chat.
Photography consent is the event. Assume you will be in someone else's frame. The 2025 galleries on acosta.jp show how tight the halls get by mid-afternoon. Friday night is for people who already know their routes. Saturday morning early tickets are for people who want empty corners. Sunday is for workshops and the clean walk, not for discovering the layout.
